WHEN DOVES CRY - Tall Bearded Iris Johnson 2018 Honorable Mention 2021 Award of Merit 2023
A lovely clean and ruffled bicolor iris. Standards are icy white with light lemon highlights especially shot up the midrib. Falls are a plush burgundy with nice wide and precise lavender bands and a darker wire rim. Nice orange beards contrast nicely with the plush burgundy falls. Grows to 36 inches tall and blooms mid season.
Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached. BONUS rhizomes are always included at an average rate of 1 for every 5 purchased...my choice.
