WHALE’S TALE - Tall Bearded Iris
Schreiner 2012
Honorable Mention 2016
Like the colossus from down under, this Iris has a dark brooding presence. The wide falls, swimming with elan, are as dark as the seafloor at night. Moody blue gray standards snap like a whale's tale, seconds before it crashes below the surface of the bounding main. Two branches easily produce 8 double-socketed buds per stalk. Grows to 32 inches tall and blooms mid to late season.

Clary's Petals & Wings
Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached.
BONUS rhizomes are always included at an average rate of 1 for every 5 purchased...my choice.
