If you want bold this is it! Long bloom time with it's many buds per stem. It's flaring and ruffled falls are smoothly colored in an extremely deep black-maroon. Buttercup-carmel colored standards offer a splash of yellow. Outstanding stems display 8-13 flowers each from double and triple-socketed buds. Grows to 30 - 36" Blooms Mid Season
Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached.
