Lightly ruffled mahogany violet blend standards over iridescent magenta-violet falls blending to mahogany edge and hafts and beards that are gold in throat, violet tipped gold middle and violet ends. Slight sweet fragrance. Grows to 35" and blooms mid to late season.
Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached.
