White ground standards are nicely ruffled and heavily washed violet blue. Ruffled white ground falls have violet blue stitching at the edges and bluebird blue veining at the shoulders. Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached.
