The velvety luxurious vibrant red flowers have crisp and jauntily flaring petals with excellent substance. The richly colored petals have a deeper maroon cast to them, and their color does not fade in the weather. This one is very hardy and has produced bloom no matter the winter weather in Ohio. It produces rigid branched stems of 7 to 9 buds. Blooms Midseason 34" to 36".
Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached.
