Standards are dark pansy violet with streaks of mottled white and aster violet; style arms are also dark pansy violet; falls are the same but more highly marked than Standards; beards are violet and white with a yellow throat; and there is a subtle spicy aroma. 35" Midseason bloom.
Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached.
