The creamy white ground ruffled falls are heavily overlaid with a reddish brown stitched band. Its light reddish brown standards have a slight greenish cast at their midribs. This red plicata, a recent Australian import, produces 8-10 double-socketed buds. Grows to 36" and blooms mid season.
Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached. BONUS rhizomes are always included at an average rate of 1 for every 5 purchased...my choice.
