Smoky Dusk - Tall Bearded Iris Keppel 2017 Honorable Mention 2019 Smoky plum wine standards, falls just a shade darker and bluer. Beards, an odd greenish lime yellow, sit on a small haft area with white, brown, and grape reticulations. Form is wide and somewhat blocky, but nicely ruffled. Growth and performance excellent, with stalks averaging 7-9 buds. Grows to 39" and blooms mid season.
Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached. BONUS rhizomes are always included at an average rate of 1 for every 5 purchased...my choice.
