SHOWMANSHIP - Tall Bearded Iris KEPPEL 2021 Hybridizer comment; One for the show hounds! Tall stalks carry terminal, three branches, and possibly an additional spur, producing nine or ten large flowers. Peach pink standards with hazy mauve cast toward center. Flared falls with light pinkish violet area near beard, blending outward with greyed lilac and cream, and showing some texture veining. Beards pinkish red with small blue touch at the end. Beautiful, whether on the show bench or in the garden!. Grows to 40 inches tall and blooms late mid season.
Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached.
