This lovely red iris is a real showstopper and grows so well! It has a gently ruffled garnet self with a splash of scarlet that deepens as it ages. Plus, it has those charming rusty orange beards. Even though it’s older, it’s still the best red rebloomer I’ve ever had. It reaches about 36 inches and blooms in the early to mid-season. People have reported reblooming in Zones 4-9.
Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached. BONUS rhizomes are always included at an average rate of 1 for every 5 purchased...my choice.
