Prominent yellow beards are the focal point. The coal black color permeates the shiny petals, including shoulders and style arms. Bouncy ruffles add to its mystique. Grows to 39" inches tall and blooms mid season.
Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached.
