This lovely plant has a soft, pale ochre-tan base that’s gently accented with rosy violet and tiny gold veins. The bright tangerine beards really pop against the rich eggplant black of the densely ruffled falls. Plus, the foliage has a lovely purple tint at the bottom. It’s a stunning show late in the blooming season, with excellent color impact! It reaches about 42 inches tall and blooms in the middle to late part of the season.
Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached.
BONUS rhizomes are always included at an average rate of 1 for every 5 purchased...my choice.
