Beautiful blooms glowing orange-yellow with dark orange beards The radiant orange hue of this self shines like a flaming sunset on the Serengeti plains. Savannah Sunset easily has the most intense orange saturation of any Iris. 8-10 double and triple-socket buds that produce three full weeks of bloom. Blooms early to mid season on 38 inch stalks.
Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached.
