Definitely not a commoner! White standards and edge on plum purple falls. Red beards really pop and add a brightness to the flower. Strong growth, heavy bloom and show stems. Truly a delight that never disappoints. slight fragrance. Grows to 38 inches tall and blooms mid to late season.
Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached.
