Rich vatican purple self with a slight glistening blackish-brown sheen on the inner haft. Beards blue, hairs tipped mustard deep in the throat. Grows to 39 inches tall and blooms mid season.
Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached.
