RED SKIES - Tall Bearded Iris GHIO 2006 Honorable Mention 2009 Award of Merit 2011 A wonderful rich red blend with standards of claret mahogany and wide semi flaring falls of red mahogany with a striking blue blaze under the beacon like gold beards. Rounded form with leathery substance, bubble ruffles, and super bud count and show branching. Grows to 36" inches tall and blooms early to mid season.
Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached.
