Light yellow to cream standards with a tan gold edge. Burgundy black falls with yellow to ivory blaze lined red/purple. Beards are deep yellow.
Hybridizer's Comment: Wild! Light yellow standards blend to cream toward edge, with a tan gold rippled rim which bleeds downward in fine veining. Otherwise solid burgundy black falls carry a gaudy sunburst pattern of red purple stripes on yellow to ivory ground. Beards solid deep chrome to cadmium yellow. Ruffled, lightly laced. Three branches and terminal carry up to twelve buds. A complicated composition that is decidedly different! EC, Best Seedling, Salem 2009.
Grows to 38" and blooms mid season.
Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached.
BONUS rhizomes are always included at an average rate of 1 for every 5 purchased...my choice.
