Old Black Magic combines coal black color with mysterious yellow beards. Although smaller flowered, it makes up for size by producing a plethora of buds (8-12 per stem). Add the pleasant scent of sweet raisins and you have an irresistible combination. Grows to 36 inches tall and blooms early mid season.

Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached.
