Margin Call - Tall Bearded Iris Keppel 2017 Honorable Mention 2019 Yellow standards, oyster white falls. The 1/2” to 5/8” marginal fall band of concord purple becomes a darker, redder purple on the outer edge. Pale yellow beards carry a faint lavender tinge at the end. Makes a striking show with six- to nine-budded stalks. Grows to 35" and blooms mid season.
Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached.
