Honorable Mention 1985, Award of Merit 1987
DYKES MEDAL 1990
With a prominent accent on it's generously ruffled form, this plicata is well known for its fine garden growth. The centers of the flowers are a solid white, the plicata patterns are actually bands of violet peppering around the falls. The standards are more solidly colored. An exceptionally fine branched stem with 7 to 8 buds. Grows to 36" early to mid season bloom.
Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached.
BONUS rhizomes are always included at an average rate of 1 for every 5 purchased...my choice.
