Isn't this Something - Tall Bearded Iris - Broken color
Ensminger 1993
Honorable Mention 1995
There seems to be no end to the wild color combinations hybridizers are concocting in their imaginative work with the broken color pattern. Here the rose violet color of the petals is wildly and irregularly overlaid with deep violet splashes and stripes. Note its ruffled and flared form. Enjoy a long bloom season with Isn't This Something, as it produces a multitude of stems. Slight fragrance. Grows to 28" inches tall and blooms mid to late season.
Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached.
BONUS rhizomes are always included at an average rate of 1 for every 5 purchased...my choice.
