Galactic Warrior - Tall Bearded - Space Age - Reblooming Jim Hedgecock 2000
Wonderful red space age iris and vigorous grower. Ruffled and lightly laced standards are dark red. Ruffled and lightly laced falls are dark burgundy red with velour finish. Yellow and purple haft marks at beards. Beards burnt gold ending in burgundy spoons or horns. Slight sweet fragrance. Grows to 38" and blooms early to mid season. Rebloom reported in Zone 5.
Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached.
