Fairytale Romance - Tall Bearded Iris Johnson 2019 - Honorable Mention 2023 There is something about Fairytale Romance that is mesmerizing. The color is a rich flesh pink with lighter edge on the standards and patch below Frosty orange beards. Beautiful classical form with nice ruffles on smaller flowers produced in abundance. A very elegant iris not to be overlooked in the garden. Nice branching carrying 8 buds. Grows to 34" and blooms late season.
Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached.
