Standards are a light lavender-violet; falls rich nearly black. It has a rich burnt bronze beard; pronounced sweet fragrance. Grows to 33" and blooms mid to late season.
Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached.
