Edwardian Era - Tall Bearded Iris Keppel 2018 Honorable Mention 2021 Strongly and deeply ruffled, lightly laced, with overall color close to the old-fashioned hue known as english lavender. Lilac standards with outer portion a bit lighter, base deeper, and subtle darker texture veining. Semi-flared falls silvery mauve-cream deepening slightly toward heart. Soft pinkish shrimp beards change to lavender white at the end. Good branching, with up to ten buds. Grows to 38 inches tall and blooms mid to late season.
Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached.
