Dixie Thunder - Tall Bearded Iris - Hedgecock 2013 Dark purple ruffled standards with stains black falls that are ruffled and fluted. Purple beards tipped orange. Mild sweet fragrance. Grows to 38" inches tall and blooms mid season.
Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached.
