Deschutes - Tall Bearded Iris Schreiner 2018 Honorable Mention 2022 Superb form and ruffling with royal blue-purple in coloration, the broad falls are darker toned than the statuesque standards. The lighter perimeter of the falls matches the standards, and surrounding everything are delightfully bouncy ripples. Deschutes sports 2 double-socketed branches with 7 buds per sturdy stem. A faint saffron tips the blue beards. Grows to 38" inches tall and blooms late season.
Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached.
