Pale moody blue standards perfectly complement the dark midnight black falls. The petals have a velvety look that makes the black tones stand out even more brilliantly. A tiny orange beard stars the blooms, and the standards are held upright in a rather tight cluster. Very elegant in silhouette. Grows to 36" and blooms Early to Mid Season.

Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached.
