Standards are honey-gold with darker veins and a darker flush at the base of the midribs; falls are reddish-cinnamon with slightly deeper veins and a short white dart beneath the beard; beards are white with a faint scent.
Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached.
