CINNAMON BELLS - Tall Bearded Iris Blyth 2009
Standards butterscotch, slight violet infusion at midrib; falls rich vibrant gold infused honey; beards orange; slight sweet fragrance. Hybridizer's Comment: Lighting up any iris bed at the start of the season and continuing well into mid season is this gorgeous cinnamon and gold combination. Standards are cinnamon to butterscotch with a slight violet infusion at midribs. Falls are rich vibrant gold with a honey infusion and a small white spot below the orange beards. Flowers are ruffled to near lace. Lovely show branching. Slight sweet perfume and purple based foliage. Super parent and so fertile. Grows to 37 inches tall and blooms early to mid season.
Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached.
