Large ruffled flowers of deep rich currant red make this an imposing presence in the flower beds. Tall and sturdy stalks carry 7 to 9 buds. Old gold beards, slight sweet scent and great growth habits complete this tasty treat! Grows to 38 inches tall and blooms mid to late season.
Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached. BONUS rhizomes are always included at an average rate of 1 for every 5 purchased...my choice.
