Above the Fray - Tall Bearded Iris Stout 2020 Showy purple tones with prominent veining in falls. Great form, ruffling and stalks. Pronounced sweet fragrance. Veronica violet, darker toward edge. Deep dark purple, lighter towards beards with prominent dark and white veining radiating from hafts. Veining varies from around beard to throughout falls. About 1/4" violet edging. Grows to 36 inches tall and blooms early mid season.
Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached.
